A man charged after a shooting incident early Christmas morning on the Muskoday First Nation, will remain in custody.
David Duong, who is s facing a charge of manslaughter for the death of Sydney Bear, was denied bail when the case was discussed Monday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.
Duong also faces one count of breaching a previous court order which prohibited him from possessing a weapon.
Both the evidence discussed during Duong’s bail hearing, and the reason why Judge H. Harradence chose not to release him, cannot be published due to a publication ban.
The case has been adjourned to March 21.
Community members have told paNOW Duong is not a band member but had been living on the reserve for a short period of time.
