The stretch of road north of Kinistino that had been closed due to wet conditions earlier this spring is closed once again.
The Rural Municipality of Kinistino (RM) said in a news release that a stretch of road five kilometers north of Kinistino, known as the Kinistino Line and Range Road 2215, is closed.
“We are building this section up as it is due for routine summer road maintenance,” RM of Kinistino Chief Administrative Officer Jacquelynn Mann told northeastNOW. “The road has been worked to allow for compaction of the problem areas and the ditches have been maintained to allow proper sloping to assist with drainage.”
The section that has been closed is about three kilometres in length and starts five kilometres north of Kinistino.
“The section will only be closed until the rain stops and the road is dry enough to be graded for safe travel. It will then be reopened,” said Mann.
