Love of the Game’ is from the upcoming album ‘Spirit Rising’ which is The C-Weed Band’s 21st album. It will include 7 songs written by lead vocalist Errol Ranville plus 3 of our favorite cover songs and is scheduled for release in the Fall of 2021.
All instruments on the album are played by the C-Weed Band -Errol Ranville, Wally Ranville, Don Ranville, Clint Dutiaume and Paul Hampton, as well as engineer, guitar player and co producer Tom Dutiaume.
Career Highlights:
“Evangeline ”, written by Robbie Robertson, put us at #1 on the national RPM charts in 1980.
“Magic in the Music ” brought us to the JUNO Awards in the years 1985 and 1986.
“Run as One ” brought us back to the JUNO ’s in 2000.
“The Shape I’m In” also written by Robbie Robertson from the last album, “Last Ride”, once again put us at #1 slot across the nations.
The band is hoping this new single; “Love of the Game” will once again lead them back to the Juno Awards in 2022.
A career that started with the Ranville Brothers in 1964 that is still going strong in 2021 (57 years later) will be celebrated once again by a tour to support the new album Spirit Rising . (covid19 rules pending)
The recording sessions will continue with a Christmas album for 2022 and a Country Gospel album which will include vocal performances of two more Ranville family members: older brother Stirling Ranville and our late Sister Delphine Ranville.
