Jerry Sereda is an Indigenous country singer who was born and raised in Manitoba, and grew up working on the farm in the summer, and trapping on a registered trap line in the winter. His passion for music came from his family who were always playing music and singing. His grandmother, who became one of his biggest supporters throughout his career, taught his first guitar chords to him, and always encouraged his playing and songwriting.
Jerry’s second album “Turn the Country On” garnered nominations and awards at the Indigenous music awards, and the Western Canadian Music Awards and charted several #1 songs on the Indigenous Music Countdown. Looking to expand his writing, and musical sound he moved to Edmonton to continue his writing and recording with fellow songwriter and producer Troy Kokol where they released his 3rd project “Don’t Mind if I Do” in September 2019.
“Anywhere but me” is the first release for 2021, and is preceding the 4th studio album “Classic Country Couple” that will be coming out in early summer 2021 from the all Indigenous team of Jerry Sereda, Jamie Lillie, and award winning songwriter Troy Kokol.
