Danita Lynn, Dahlia Wakefield, Shila Marie and Karen Claypool came together in 2013 and have come a long way in their 7 years together. From their very first single, upbeat “Back Around The Mountain” along with their fun summer single “Extra Dirty”, to their most recent release “Seven Bridges Road”, their three albums display intricate harmonies, heartwarming melodies and relatable lyrics.
Seven Bridges Road is the Dirt Road Angels’ latest release to Country Music Radio off their “Extra Dirty” EP. A classic harmony-filled fan favourite penned by Steve Young and made famous by The Eagles, the Dirt Road Angels and producer Rob Hewes have put their very own country-rock flavour on this female-fronted rendition of Seven Bridges Road. Laced with DRA’s lush, intricate harmonies, it also contains a fabulous groove that will surely make you want to dance along!
Their third album “Extra Dirty” features two well-known classiccover songs “Folsom Prison Blues” and fan favourite “Seven Bridges Road” along with six of their own edgy modern country rock originals including the title track and their 10th single “Call It Home”, both which went #1 on the European Country Music Charts. Two songs on their second album “Paint The Town Red” were finalists in the 2014 International Acoustic Music Awards and the 2014 Calgary Folk Music Songwriting contest.

These hard-working gals have showcased at CCMA week and performed at many other high profile events such as Taste of Edmonton, Boots and Hearts Festival, Porkapalooza, Blueberry Bluegrass Music Festival, Beaumont Blues & Roots Festival, Festival Place Patio Series and more. They have enjoyed opening for some top country acts including Kira Isabella, Brett Kissell, High Valley, Doc Walker, Road Hammers, Aaron Pritchett; even U.S. acts Colin Raye, Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, Blackjack Billy and many more. Being nominated six years in a row as the ACMA for Group of the Year as well as Fan’s Choice as well as Rising Star has been an honour.
