Lane Shields is a 23-year-old award winning recording artist from Saskatoon. Born in Rosetown SK, he embraced small town living and has his roots firmly planted in the country. Lane loved country music since a young age and after picking up his first guitar, Lane knew he wanted to pursue music.
Lane’s debut single “Take the Long Way” came out March 27th, 2017 and was played coast to coast on Canadian country radio. His single also took him on a cross Canada tour to meet and entertain new fans. For Lane’s sophomore single “Boy Became A Man,” a song about a fictional World War One veteran, he teamed up with the War Amps of Canada to donate all the proceeds to the great cause of supporting all our veterans. The song came out October 23rd, 2017, just in time for Remembrance Day. Lane’s single and first music video “Lake Days” was released on April 17th, 2019 and was played internationally.
He has opened for Award winning artists like Brody Seibert, Brock Andrews, Lisa Moen, and Cody Prevost. Lane was the proud recipient of the 2014 SCMA Youth Development Award and was nominated for 2 awards at the 2020 SCMA Awards.
